"Therapeutic Art" and "Art therapy" share a similarity in using art
holistically to heal the mind, body
and soul of individuals. Unlike
some Art Therapy practices, The Feather's Touch does not utilize art
to
medically diagnosis or treat mental illnesses. It's sole purpose is to provide
a non-threaten environment for individuals to creatively express one's
self, while healing the spirit.

It is important to The Feather's Touch to provide a quality product and
service. Our therapeutic art sessions are customized to benefit of all
levels of seniors. We carefully evaluate each session to insure it
meets the national standards of therapeutic programming set by NCCAP. |

What is an Art Specialist?

Art Specialists is a compassionate and knowledgeable individual that
embraces all artistic efforts of each client. Art Specialists are
trained to implement therapeutic art with seniors as well
as understand
the sensitivities of the unique community. Our Art Specialist implement
not only creativity, but also reliability and flexibility into the
service.
Does The Feather's Touch offer Certified Art Therapists?
No, we do not provide certified Art Therapists.
How many Art Specialists are on site during each session?
There is usually one Art Specialist per site or facility visit. |
