 Program Evaluation of Approval
The Feather's Touch therapeutic art sessions have been evaluated to observe its effectiveness according to seniors interests, individual needs or care plans. The evaluation essentials include Balance of the Session, Benefits of Session, Outcomes, Policies and Procedures.

Engagement Therapy Treatment (a specialized program developed by HCR Manor Care),
designed for clients with memory loss, in which unique past events are integrated with
present interests.

EVALUATION:
The Feather's Touch therapeutic art session promote self-esteem through the creation of art. During the session, the residents are engaged, which increases their socialization and concentration. Also the session moderately enhance their physical capabilities and improve circulation. Initially, seniors skeptical or intimidated with the idea of creating an artistic creation. However, through reassurance and encouragement, the residents readily participate to discover their inner artist. Therapeutic art sessions also compliments HCR Manor Care "Engagement Therapy" which focuses on providing activities that meet the physical, social, creative, intellectual, civic and sensory needs of each resident.
